What are Headaches?

Headaches can range from mild to severe and may occur all over the head or be localized to one side. In the case of post-traumatic headaches, they often start off moderate in pain but can escalate, resembling migraine symptoms.

Treatment for these headaches may take several months to show results, requiring patience and consistent care. It’s important not to stop treatment prematurely, as continued therapy gives the brain a better chance to heal.

What Causes Headaches?

Headaches after a car accident are common, even in those without a prior history of headaches. They can develop due to neck injuries or trauma, and in some cases, they may worsen over time.

Post-traumatic headaches that persist beyond six weeks, or become more severe, can develop into migraines, often accompanied by symptoms like throbbing, stabbing pain on one side of the head. In such cases, a headache specialist should be consulted for proper treatment.
